Christmas in Utah.. Litter A & B
Greetings to all... especially Pepper and Archie... way down under... Merry Christmas... it is Christmas day there... Christmas Eve Day here... all seems so weird.. but... Merry Christmas to you!!!
We had a great evening at Jim & Joell's Saturday evening... no one played basketball with the skill and intensity that you did last year, Archie.
We had the same old food menu... maybe a little more varieties... bigger roast and bigger ham.
Lisa's Sarah had a baby... in the hospital... right during the time we were eating... how rude...
Lisa called us and gave us the details... 5 lbs 15 oz... you might say 6 pounds... Braden Deem...
Picture attached... I am going to post more pictures than you want... Temple Square... and the likes... Jimmy's house... woops... don't know how to do that by each article or statement... guess they will just be lu
Yesterday after Church, during which time I might add... Amber played the prelude... did the accompanyment for the singing... played piano and prayed in Sunday School... Conducted and taught R.S. ...Her Bishop is so complinentary of her... doing a fine job!... we had your Cafe Rio food for lunch... went to Doug Brown's house... Ordained him a High Priest... went to the hospital to see Sarah Mollerup Deem and young Braden... then on to view the lights at Temple Square...
Went home... more food... mostly left overs... shrimp... Cafe Rio... Brownies... Pepsi... etc...
Then Mom and Chelice Cooked while all the others went to Jaron's to play video games... Guitar Hero seems to be the hot thing this year...
Things settled down shortly after midnight... dear old Dad... got up at 4:30 a.m. today to put on the Turkey... and giblet pot... Mom is now fixing breakfast for all of us at 9:45 a.m. boys are all still sleeping..

Pretend it's November 19, 2007
I seriously wanted to post a clip of Archie and I singing "Endless Love" (which we have casually been practicing for the last year) as a Tribute to Madre y Padre's big 25th. However, it didn't quite happen. Lamentable for all, I know. However, I have also been meaning to put together a list of a grand events, over the last 25 years. As you can see there are some major gaps, so help me fill in the blanks and make corrections. Post a comment and I'll add it to the timeline.

Christmas without sprinkles is like raisins without wrinkles...

Did anyone else know that this cherished book is selling for $250-$500 online?? That's nuts!
Anyway, Christmas is sneaking up on us, just like that crazy sprinkle snitcher Jaron so wonderfully portrayed in our family Christmas plays so long ago, and I've been thinking about what we, the Brown siblings, could give to one another this year.
What if we were to do something a little different this year and use the money we would spend on one another to provide Christmas for an individual or family in need?
If everyone is up for this, there are a few options I've come up with that we could pursue to make this idea happen...
1) Find someone or some family within one of our communities (through wards, work, etc) that we could "adopt"/provide Christmas for.

2) Go through an organization such as Toys for Tots to give us a family to adopt, Or
3) Donate the money to an organization that will allocate the money for us.
I'm thinking that no dollar amount should be set to make this Christmas gift idea happen. I figure everyone could pitch in whatever they feel comfortable with.
With all of us being kinda spread out, we could use PayPal to easily combine our dinero. But before going any further, could everybody give me feedback so we can decide on what we should do or if we even want to do this altogether?

I'm ready for WINTER!
I'm ready for WINTER! Well, maybe not really, but I would be okay with it not reaching 95 degrees everyday. I came across our pictures from the Ouray Ice Climbing trip and thought I'd post a few. There is truly fun to be had during all seasons.

a request for recipes
It has become more and more apparent to me in these few months that i have been here in provo that there is little satisfaction brought by a meal such as mac n cheese or tuna fish, especially when the same meal is eaten repeatedly within the course of a week. As it is my current plight to reach out and expand, searching for ever more delicious and wholesome things with which to satisfy my hunger, i feel that it is necessary to make the request that, among other things, the family blog should entail a full variety of family recipes... such as the bread, roast, perhaps garlic toast, and enchiladas as well. And in sight of the current web address (texasfudgecake.blogspot.com) I feel that it might also be worthwhile to include the recipe for texas fudge cake, just in case anyone that doesnt know the secrets of texas fudge dares to venture into such a realm and attempt to unlock its mouthwatering goodness.
